HEROES: A VIDEO GAME SYMPHONY BREAKS THROUGH THE CONSOLE AND INTO THE CONCERT HALL THIS FALL

July 11, 2023
ATLANTA – Today, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra announced a new concert program Heroes: A Video Game Symphony will be taking over Atlanta Symphony Hall on Thursday, September 21 and Friday, September 22, 2023. Heroes: A Video Game Symphony features music from fan-favorite video games, accompanied by a choir and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra alongside conductors Kevin Zakresky and Inon Zur. Tickets to this one-of-a-kind orchestral experience go on sale this Friday, July 14 at 12:00PM at ticketmaster.com. Concert presented by Delta Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE.

Heroes: A Video Game Symphony takes you on a hero's journey, as set forth by Joseph Campbell's monomyth; a narrative framework that can be seen in many of the games, films, and books throughout history. Each stage in the monomyth is a chapter in our story, and each game/musical selection was chosen primarily for its suitability for the chapter that it is featured in. In this way, our story is the story of a hero, told through the amazing worlds of other heroes, in an unforgettable experience that's not to be missed.

The program includes music from The Elder Scrolls, God of War, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Journey, Portal 2, Halo, Bioshock, and more! Kevin Zakresky will be the principal conductor for both shows and Inon Zur will make a special appearance as a guest conductor for select pieces. Inon Zur is best known for composing music for video games like Fallout and the upcoming Starfield
